October 11, 2025 Club Meeting
Visitors: Debe introduced her son, Shawn Krugman, as a new member.
Wood: Ken Hagerty was reported to have wood to give away. Jessie in Prairie Grove was reported to be liquidating all his wood for $.50/pound, located behind the Pizza Hut.
Board of Directors Resolution: Randy Wright reported that the board had met early in the week and were opposed to the board appointing the club officers. Instead, they passed a resolution that the club membership will elect the officers, as well as board members. Nominations are still open for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary (new office separated from Treasurer), Program Manager, and 3 at large board members. Officers may form committees as needed for assistance. Votes will be cast at the November meeting or may be made online via the website. Board member Ben Johnson encouraged every club member to participate and offer their service to the club, your club.
Debe Krogman: Debe requested volunteers to help prepare for the December 6th Christmas party and encouraged everyone to sign up for a dish to bring to the potluck. Setup will start at 9:00 with the party beginning around 9:30. Guests are welcome, and there will be a traditional, but optional, gift exchange held by drawing. This is great fun, and everyone is encouraged to make something to bring. The party will take the place of the December club meeting.
Treasurer Report: Ben Johnson reported that 26 members had paid their dues for the new year, which began October 1st, and that the current checking account balance was $13,400.
No Show & Tell or Bring Back Raffel: These events were not held to allow more time for Mark Palma’s presentation.
Mark Palma: David Morris introduced Mark as a world class expert in finishing who voluntarily made the trip from Cameron, Wisconsin for our benefit. His in-depth presentation on Finishing took up the rest of the morning. In the afternoon he shared his finishing formulas and assisted attendees in mixing their own finish.
