Platters are a great alternative to bowls. They can be made as large as your lathe capacity allows, so their size can look impressive. In this class, you will use the lathe to turn square and round platters while experimenting with embellishment techniques, including carving, painting, and staining. You are also welcome to bring your own unique wood to turn.
