Stateline Woodturners
November, 2010 Meeting
We had a "full house" at our November, 2010 meeting.

The membership voted to nominate Kip Powers for the annual Arkansas "Living Treasure" award, which is
an annual statewide award honoring an individual in the arts and crafts area.

The members agreed to support the community "Empty Bowls" project for the coming year.

Kip was our demonstrator for the session, turning a lidded box. He was assisted by Mark Ost.

A Board meeting was held, following the regular meeting. The Board voted to institute a "Family"
membership option for which the dues would be $45 per year, and establish a policy that members under
the age of 16 would pay no dues. The Board also voted to establish a policy related to extended duration
meetings with a nationally/internationally known demonstrator. The policy would be that the morning
session would be free to members, but the afternoon session would be charged at an amount
commensurate with the cost charged to the club by the demonstrator. Guests would be charged $36
(current rate for members annual dues). The Board is also planning an upgrade to our current audio/video
system to provide better video and sound coverage of our demonstrations, including a larger video monitor
that can be seen from the back of the room.

See you at 4th Saturday!
