October, 2017 Meeting

the Pledge of Allegiance we introduced our Guests.
We continue to share display space in the Rogers Museum Annex with the area woodcarvers.
Volunteers are needed for 4th Saturday demonstrations, help with the A-V setup at meetings
and someone to oversee the club's library.
The demonstrator for our meeting was Gary Olerud. Gary demonstrated the use of "milliput"
epoxy as an embellishment technique for turnings. He demonstrated how to prepare the piece
for the application of the milliput material, how to prepare and apply the material, and then how
to turn the piece into a finished item.
Bring a Bring-Back item for our raffle.
Bring a Show-N-Tell item.
Bring a guest.

quite a few new members, so it is appropriate and timely to include demos/activities that are a

techniques”, Hollowing Jigs and Fixtures”, “Off Center Turning Chucks/Techniques”, etc.
Please contact Ben with any ideas/suggestions, and especially with an offer to demo/teach a
