June 2007 4th Saturday Meeting
Our 4th Saturday activities took place at Mark Ost's shop in Pineville
on the 23rd of June. Dee Schroeder demonstrated the latest updates
to his ornamental lathe. He also demonstrated turning a bottle stopper
and then decorating it with his ornamental lathe. Mick Hutchinson
demonstrated turning a segmented Christmas ornament and Arthur
Duell demonstrated preparation of layers for construction of a layered
bowl. Various other members demonstrated the use of various types
of hook scrapers and pyramid tools.
