|April, 2009 4th Saturday Meeting
We had several great demos going at the same time on this 4th Saturday get-together.
Doug Hyde demonstrated a new, very large, carbide tipped hollowing tool for use on
bowls and hollow forms.
Dee demonstrated the fine art of turning bottle stoppers in a very efficient manner.
Harold Stoner demonstrated thin wall bowl turning on a piece of sycamore.
Mick Hutchinson demonstrated some of the aspects of segmented turning, including
the use of a sled for cutting the segments on a bench saw.
Lots of folks got involved in all of these activities, and were able to try their hand at
turning bottle stoppers.
Don't forget, the May 2nd Saturday regular meeting will be at Ed Willy's shop in
See you there!!
